Songwriting Workshops in New Plymouth

Good songs come from writing a lot of them, with people who will tell you the truth. The programme’s songwriting sessions help emerging artists find their voice, finish ideas and write with others, at no cost.

New Plymouth has an outsized arts profile for its size: the Len Lye Centre and Govett-Brewster Art Gallery, the Coastal Walkway, and WOMAD at Brooklands each year. Taranaki maunga gives every outdoor shoot a backdrop. The programme is open to emerging artists from New Plymouth. Get in touch to find out what is running and how to take part from there.

What’s included

Songs written in the programme can move straight into EYWA studio sessions.
