Billie No.1

Free Recording Studio in Whangārei and Northland

Studio time is the first wall most new artists hit. Billie No.1 gives emerging musicians free recording sessions, along with help on songwriting, production and engineering, so the music gets finished instead of staying on a phone.

Whangārei is Northland’s only city and the gateway to the Bay of Islands. The Hundertwasser Art Centre and Wairau Māori Art Gallery opened on the Town Basin in 2022, and the region’s coastline, forests and marae give it a look nowhere else in the country has. The programme is open to emerging artists from Whangārei. Get in touch to find out what is running and how to take part from there.
