Free Film Production Training in New Zealand
Film school teaches theory first. Billie No.1 puts emerging filmmakers on real shoots, learning camera, directing, lighting, sound and editing by doing them, alongside the Billie production team and at no cost.
From Northland to Canterbury, the work is the same: understand the story, plan it properly and shoot it well. Projects run out of Auckland and Wellington and travel to wherever the story is. The programme is open to emerging artists from anywhere in New Zealand. Get in touch to find out what is running and how to take part.
